Character Counts! is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian coalition
of schools, communities and nonprofit organizations working to advance
character education by teaching the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness,
respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Churchland Little League in conjunction with the City of Portsmouth, wholeheartedly
embrace the ideals which this program embodies. This season, all Spectators,
Parents, Players, Coaches & Officials alike will be REQUIRED
to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with this program's
Six Pillars of Character.
The bottom line here at Churchland Little League is that we intend to
create a positive atmosphere that will instill life-long values in our
youth players. The CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative keeps us all moving toward
that common goal.
There are banners located around this facility to serve as a constant
reminder of our commitment to the CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative.
